Compliance & AML/KYC

Our Approach to Compliance
FORLANSO FZCO is committed to promoting transparent, legitimate and responsible use of its platform. Forlanso maintains an internal, risk-based compliance framework covering individual and company onboarding, KYC/KYB, contract and service review, transaction activity, payout controls, escalation and record handling.
These controls are designed to reduce the risk that the platform is used for fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions-related concerns, or other prohibited, misleading or unexplained financial activity. They are also intended to support Forlanso in meeting legal and regulatory requirements applicable to its activities in the United Arab Emirates, together with compliance requirements imposed by banks, payment gateways and other regulated service providers.
KYC & KYB
Depending on the type of account, service, transaction and risk profile, Forlanso may require individuals and companies to provide information and supporting documents to verify identity, the nature of the relevant service or company activity, and authority to use the platform.
- Identity documents for individuals and authorized representatives.
- Company registration, licence or other official corporate information.
- Information relating to company ownership or authorized persons where relevant.
- Information supporting the purpose of a contract, service or transaction.
- Beneficiary or payout details to help confirm that funds are directed to the appropriate account holder.
Risk-Based Review
Forlanso applies a proportionate, risk-based approach. The level of review may vary depending on factors such as the user type, transaction value, transaction history, jurisdiction, nature of the service, payment pattern and other relevant risk indicators.
Accounts, contracts, services, transactions or payout instructions that appear unusual, unclear, inconsistent with the information provided, or outside an established activity pattern may be subject to additional review. Where reasonably required, Forlanso may request further information or supporting evidence before allowing the relevant activity to proceed.
Genuine Service or Contractual Purpose & Prohibited Use
Forlanso is intended to support genuine remote-work, professional-service and related contractual activity. Services and contracts should describe a legitimate and sufficiently clear purpose linked to the service or contract and should not be used merely as a mechanism to move funds without a genuine underlying service or contractual relationship.
The platform must not be used for unlawful activity, fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, unauthorized payment activity, or other activity prohibited by applicable law, banking requirements, payment-provider rules or Forlanso's platform policies.
Sanctions, PEPs & Adverse Information
Where appropriate based on the circumstances and risk profile, Forlanso may conduct or request additional checks relating to sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEPs), adverse information or other financial-crime indicators.
A potential match, material inconsistency or other significant compliance concern may result in a request for additional information, temporary hold, restriction, rejection or escalation for further review. Forlanso may also restrict or decline activity involving persons, entities, jurisdictions or transaction types that are prohibited, unsupported or considered unacceptable under applicable law, sanctions requirements, bank or payment-provider requirements, or Forlanso's internal risk controls.
Payments & Payout Controls
Forlanso applies controls around payment and payout activity to help ensure that transactions are consistent with the stated purpose of the service or contract and that payout details correspond with the relevant verified user or approved service or contractual relationship.
Third-party payout destinations, mismatched beneficiary information, unusual payment patterns or other material inconsistencies may be declined or referred for additional review.
Banks & Payment Providers
Payment processing and payout execution may involve banks, payment gateways and other third-party financial service providers. These providers apply their own KYC, AML, sanctions, fraud-prevention and transaction-monitoring requirements independently of Forlanso.
Where a bank or payment provider requests information, raises a query, blocks or delays a transaction, or identifies a potential concern, Forlanso may cooperate with that provider, request additional documentation from the relevant user or company, or place the related platform activity on hold while the matter is reviewed.
Compliance Decisions & Account Restrictions
Following a compliance review, Forlanso may approve the relevant activity, request additional information, return information for correction, place an activity on hold, reject the activity, restrict certain account functions, suspend access where appropriate, or escalate the matter for management review.
These measures are applied on a case-by-case basis and are intended to protect users, the platform, banking and payment relationships, and the integrity of legitimate transactions.
Confidentiality & Information Handling
Identity documents, company records, compliance correspondence and supporting information are treated as confidential information and are used for legitimate onboarding, verification, compliance, transaction-review and operational purposes.
Relevant information may be shared where reasonably required for banking, payment processing, due diligence, legal or regulatory purposes, subject to applicable requirements and appropriate confidentiality safeguards.
UAE Legal & Regulatory Alignment
Forlanso's internal compliance controls are designed to support compliance with laws and regulatory requirements applicable to Forlanso's activities in the United Arab Emirates. They also operate alongside the requirements of banks, payment gateways and other regulated service providers used by Forlanso.
Where a bank, payment provider, competent authority or applicable legal requirement imposes additional or stricter controls, those requirements may apply to the relevant account, transaction or service.
Institutional & Due Diligence Enquiries
Banks, payment providers, institutional clients and counterparties conducting due diligence on Forlanso may request additional corporate or compliance documentation. Subject to confidentiality and legitimate purpose, Forlanso may provide relevant supporting documentation for due-diligence review.
