Design various types of molds (Sheet Metal Dies, Plastic Molds and Foam Molds) and mechanical Parts. • Timely and efficiently responsible for complete functioning design of simple prototype injection molds; spanning to complex production molds. • Design secondary tooling components such as EDM electrodes, fixtures and engineering changes. • Manage Pricing, material ordering, design perimeters and other implications to complete full function of injection molding process. • Closely set up and perform design for manufacturing with the customer to meet best part design practices for a better molded part. • Making a schedule for the machining. • Collaborate with tool maker during build to ensure tight delivery schedules. • Making the required 2D shop drawings for each part. • Pricing the molds and preparing the schedule for machining. • Making simple, detailed reports on the molds. • Maintain and organize engineering job folders.
